Stéphane Pitré is launching this couture table near the Champs-Élysées, lunch menu at $42, and reservations are already flying in

A stone’s throw from the Champs Elysées, fashion comes to the table. Since June 1, 2026, the elegant Hôtel de Berri, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, has housed a new address designed for lovers of fine dining: Le Schiap by Stéphane Pitré. Behind this name, a couture story is reinvented.

Designed as a chic, elegant and lively brasserie, the restaurant is part of the imprint of Elsa Schiaparelli, who lived for nearly forty years at 22 rue de Berri and hosted all of Paris’s arts, letters and fashion there. Between surrealist heritage and Parisian fantasy, the address plays on several tables.

Le Schiap by Stéphane Pitré, chic brasserie in the 8th

The Schiap room boasts an elegance without stiffness, capable of hosting a business lunch as well as a more peaceful dinner. From Monday to Friday, a business menu at $42 offers three dishes changed every day, to follow the Parisian rhythm while still having time for a real moment of gastronomy.

The decor also tells this story. On the walls, the artist Hippolyte Romain has imagined a fictional fresco where Woody Allen would shoot a film dedicated to Elsa Schiaparelli in Paris; Salvador Dalí, Jean Cocteau, Gertrude Stein and Coco Chanel appear there alongside Hubert de Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier. Located at 22 rue de Berri, the Hôtel de Berri, facade by Maurice Novarina and interiors designed by Philippe Renaud, member of The Luxury Collection of the Marriott International group and operated by Dokhan Luxury Hotels, brings together fashion, art and gastronomy.

Chef Stéphane Pitré’s new playground

Originally from Brittany, Stéphane Pitré trained in major French and London houses, from the Ritz London to Alain Senderens’ Lucas Carton. His meeting with Jérôme Banctel was decisive in his vision of cuisine. In 2011, he took charge of the kitchens at the Hotel Le Metropolitan, before opening his first restaurant, LOUIS, in 2014.

At LOUIS, he was hailed by Gault et Millau as Young Talent of the Year with a score of 15 out of 20, then won a star in the Michelin Guide in 2019, retained until 2024. At Schiap, he extends this universe in a more direct and readable version, always focused on life, the product and great technical precision.

A couture menu between French terroirs and surrealism

The chef’s cuisine at Schiap is built around living things. It draws on French terroirs, from artisans, fishermen, market gardeners and breeders, with particular attention paid to the Ile de France sectors. Its Breton roots nourish a constant dialogue between sea and land, in a gourmet, readable menu focused on shared pleasure.

Two signature creations pay homage to the seamstress. The Lobster Dress, an open lobster ravioli accompanied by a head juice infused with ginger, responds to the dress imagined in 1937 by Elsa Schiaparelli with Salvador Dalí, while the Sac Schiaparelli dessert, Fraise Couture, plays trompe l’oeil. At Le Schiap by Stéphane Pitré, elegance can be tasted as much as it is looked at, in an atmosphere.
