Forget leopard: this unexpected animal print is causing searches to jump by 236% this fall

After seasons spent roaring on the catwalks and in the streets, the feline print could well give way to a much less fierce cousin. His name? The Bambi print. Recognizable by its brown, beige or caramel background dotted with small cream spots, this pattern is directly inspired by the coat of fawns. A fashion nod to the famous character imagined by Walt Disney. Enough to bring a touch of softness to the large family of animal prints, without sacrificing its character.

And the phenomenon is not just a pretty fashion story. In a press release dedicated to fall 2026 trends, JD Sports reveals that global searches for the Bambi print have increased significantly over the past month. The pattern thus comes at the top of the most sought-after animal prints, ahead of leopard, zebra and snakeskin. A climb that confirms the desire of fashionistas to get off the beaten track.

Bambi print: the star animal pattern of fall 2026

To establish its ranking, JD Sports relied on global data from Google Trends, analyzed via Google Glimpse as of October 23, 2026. The brand compared the evolution of the search volume for several terms associated with animal prints over the last month.

The result is clear: with 236% growth in the number of searches, Bambi outdistances its competitors, leopard (+187% searches), zebra (+169% searches) and snake skin (+87% searches). Moreover, social networks largely contribute to its popularity: the hashtag #animalprint has more than 398,700 publications on TikTok. The release also highlights that Pinterest saw more than 9,000 searches for Bambi-inspired outfits in the week leading up to its release. The fawn is definitely no longer a supporting role!

From catwalks to celebrities, the Bambi print is everywhere

If the pattern seems straight out of a story, its arrival in fashion is very real. From the fall-winter 2025-2026 collections, Tory Burch used it on jackets and dresses, while Brandon Maxwell gave it a more spectacular look with a long, fully speckled dress. David Koma also explored this print in his 2025 cruise collection. More recently, Marc Cain revisited it in aubergine tones for fall 2026.

On the celebrity side, the movement has also gained ground. In March 2025, Katie Holmes chose a Bambi print dress by Tory Burch for the inauguration of the Printemps department store in New York. In April 2026, Tate McRae, in turn, adopted the pattern with a Valentino jacket in pony-effect leather, worn with jeans during a New York event. Sofia Richie Grainge also incorporated the pattern into the first collection of her brand SRG Atelier, notably with a fawn-print jacket. Alexandra Malena Leclerc has also already adopted it on a dress, last December during the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

How to wear the Bambi print in style this fall 2026?

Good news: with its shades of brown, beige and cream, the Bambi print can be worn almost like a neutral. To avoid the total enchanted forest look, it is better to start with a strong piece and let the rest of the silhouette play supporting roles. A speckled jacket will work wonders with straight blue jeans, a white t-shirt and leather ankle boots. For a more chic look, you can wear a Bambi skirt combined with a chocolate sweater or an oversized white shirt.

A few pieces already allow you to succumb to the trend. At Mango, this chocolate Bambi jacket with a fur effect finish ticks all the boxes to warm up an autumnal silhouette. For a more casual interpretation, Pull&Bear offers straight animal print jeans, to wear with a plain sweatshirt and sneakers. Finally, those who prefer to tame the trend in small doses can simply tie this Zara printed scarf around their neck or on the handle of their bag. After all, to adopt Bambi, you don’t need to be a fashionista from head to toe!
