We start several weeks before the big day with a gentle routine: cleansing, appropriate hydration, mask tested in advance. This time is also used to carry out a complete bridal makeup trial and take a photo of it.
For the complexion, Elsa Durrens recommends a long-lasting, waterproof foundation, but light: explains the make-up artist cited by Elle.fr. She also recommends a rosewood cream blush, with a mattifying base for oily skin or an illuminating base for dry skin.

On the big day, apply base then foundation in thin layers, blending well towards the neck. The concealer, a shade below the skin tone, is placed under the eyes. A veil of powder on the T zone and a pearly cream on the neck and décolleté unify everything.
The rosewood cream blush is dabbed on the cheekbones then blends towards the temples for a healthy glow. Use the highlighter sparingly to avoid too strong reflections in the photos.
Eyes and mouth: the easy step-by-step for applying makeup alone
For the eyes, Elsa Durrens relies on easy neutral tones: Pencil along the eyelashes, a little light shadow on the eyelid, then waterproof black mascara. The eyebrows are fixed with a transparent gel which, according to her, even requires lightly filling in the holes with an ashy pencil.
For the mouth, Elsa Durrens recommends a lipstick described as You can apply it with your finger for a bitten lips effect and use a pencil to draw the outline, to slip with the stick into the touch-up kit.
