Homemade scrubs are on the rise: simple, economical and natural, they allow you to obtain soft and bright skin without leaving your kitchen. Among the most popular recipes, that based on sugar and coconut oil is distinguished by its efficiency and softness. Two easy -to -find ingredients, quick to mix, and which offer exfoliating treatment worthy of the best pots in pots.
Why sugar?
Sugar is one of the sweetest natural exfoliating. Its fine crystals polish the skin on the surface without irritating it, unlike salt often too abrasive. It stimulates microcirculation, restores radiance to the complexion and leaves an immediate feeling of smoothing. Its texture dissolves in contact with water, which makes the massage comfortable and respectful even for sensitive skin.
Why coconut oil?
Coconut oil is renowned for its nourishing and protective properties. Rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, it forms a barrier which helps to retain hydration and brings a velvety softness to the skin. It also has soothing properties, ideal for calming post-sun heating. In combination with sugar, it transforms the scrub into real two-in-one care: exfoliant and hydrating.
The step -by -step recipe
-
2 tablespoons of fine sugar (white or red depending on the desired texture)
-
1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil
-
(optional) A few drops of soft essential oil, such as lavender or sweet orange, to flavor
Mix the ingredients in a small bowl until you get a homogeneous paste. Apply on slightly damp skin by massaging by circular movements, then rinse with lukewarm water. Dry while tapping, without rubbing, and enjoying immediately soft and satin skin.
Use advice
-
Use this scrub once a week for the body, and every two weeks for more delicate areas.

Keep the mixture in a small airtight pot, at room temperature, for a maximum week.
-
Do not apply to the face if you have very reactive skin or subject to imperfections: then prefer an even softer formula, like an enzymatic scrub.
