There are products that we think frozen forever, as if they were engraved in the marble of our makeup kits. Hoola de Benefit is one of these timeless icons, still there, faithful to the position, unbeatable.
The cult bronzer changes texture (and face)
We no longer present it. Hoola, the Benfit flagship bronzing powderhas been throne for more than two decades in the rankings of the best -selling products in the world. Its matte finish without orange subns, its universal shade and its ease of use made it an absolute reference in the world of makeup. But 2024 marks a turning point. Benefit dares a risky bet: completely reinventing his legendary product.
No more cubic powder and classic texture. Make way for a total overhaul, visible from the first seconds of the teaser published on Instagram by the @trendmood1 account. Haola returns in the form of a balma small revolution for this product which had hardly changed since its initial launch. This change is not trivial: it is part of a strong trend on the market – that of sensory, creamy, easy to work on the finger, and above all more compatible with light and natural make -up.
A balm formula in line with current trends
The historic compact powder would therefore give way to A Baume texturemore tender, easier to work, more modern. This cream version, or rather “Balmy”, would go in the sense of what the followers of the natural and luminous complexion are looking for today. Applied to the finger, the product would offer a blurred and modular rendering, perfect for “effortless” looks.
Benefit would remain faithful to the original Hoola shade, known to suit a wide range of carnations, but the texture, it would completely change the experience. The balm would slide on the skin, will melt without demarcation, and would allow a tailor-made intensity according to the desires. An evolution that would aim as much the faithful of the first hour as the young generations adept at nomadic and multi-purpose products.
This new formula would also be part of the dynamics of hybrid products, between makeup and care. If the brand does not yet communicate on the exact composition, we could expect increased sensoriality, in tune with the times. More than just a tan, this Baume version hooola would embody a new way of makeup.

A brand new look for a new era
The envelope is also entitled to a radical facelift. The original cardboard case, recognizable among a thousand, would give way to a round and purple setting, provided with a mirror. More practical, more modern, more in tune with today’s makeup habits. This new format would clearly target portability, without sacrificing the brand’s visual identity.
Benefit would not have yet revealed a precise release date, but the words “Coming Very Soon” inscribed on the teaser suggest that the launch would be imminent. The wait around this new Hoola would already swell on the networks, carried by the curiosity and the nostalgia mixed. It would suffice for a single post to relaunch the machine and propel this novelty among the best-school bestsellers.
This strategic turn would confirm Benefit’s desire to reposition itself on a market where expectations have changed deeply. And Haola, despite his icon status, would seem ready to play a new score.
