"Everyone looks back at my boyfriend" : this new CHANEL men’s perfume leaves no one indifferent

In August 2025, a new Chanel juice is shaking up the men’s departments: Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif. Designed as a variation of the iconic Blue, this version quickly triggered stock shortages and waiting lists, becoming a phenomenon.

Created by in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif is described as an amber‑aromatic, woody and leathery fragrance that retains Bleu’s DNA while adding resinous and animalic facets. Men and women say they are bewitched; on Sephora, a customer writes, in an opinion cited by Here.

Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif, new chapter of a men’s bestseller

Bleu de Chanel, launched in 2010, has established itself as one of the most worn men’s perfumes. With L’Exclusif, unveiled at the end of August 2025, the house is pushing this success towards a more nocturnal register, by further concentrating the formula without giving up the signature freshness.

This more sensual direction can also be read in the images. Timothée Chalamet then Jacob Elordi embody a man more contemplative than conquering. The bottle remains faithful to the almost black midnight blue square, minimalist and graphic, which anchors L’Exclusif in the continuity of the range.

An amber, woody and leathery fragrance with a warm trail

On the scent side, the olfactory construction remains clear. A burst of crystalline citrus at the top recalls the fresh opening of Bleu de Chanel. The heart revolves around dry cedar nourished with amber and resinous notes, while cistus labdanum provides a slightly leathery nuance. In the base, sandalwood envelops the skin.

Compared to other variations, many describe L’Exclusif as the darkest and deepest version of Bleu. Tests by enthusiasts speak of a hold of up to 10 to 12 hours depending on the skin, with moderate projection, suitable for both evenings and the office.

Why Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif appeals so much to the public

This more intense profile has not slowed down the general public. The perfume received the public prize from the Fragrance Foundation France and has average scores of around 4.6 out of 5 in online reviews. Many praise a more mature Blue, with an enveloping but polished trail.

The feedback is not unanimous, however. Some consider L’Exclusif too close to Bleu de Chanel Parfum, or believe that its price, higher than the other versions, requires reflection. Others would have liked a more marked projection, while several users on the contrary appreciate this easy-going restraint.

Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif: for whom?

For lovers of warm woods and amber notes, rather urban, who want a chic but discreet scent every day.

Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif or Bleu Parfum?

L’Exclusif takes up the DNA of Bleu de Chanel Parfum but is denser and more resinous; it is especially of interest to those who are looking for an evening version and accept the additional cost.
