I’ll be honest: I’ve always wanted to try an at-home whitening kit, but I was skeptical. Fear of the discomfort, the chemical taste, the too artificial effect… It’s true that I had some reservations. However, as soon as I opened the CurrentBody whitening kit, I was immediately reassured.
The packaging is neat, the material seems of good quality, and above all, everything is intuitive. Inside there are:
- A soft silicone tray, which adapts well to the shape of the teeth without discomfort.
- A connected LED box, which diffuses blue light to activate the gel (based on calcium, aloe vera and vitamin E).
- Pre-filled pods, which avoids any dosing errors.
Already a good point: no complicated preparation. Everything is ready to use, and it’s super quick to get started.
How does LED technology work?
It’s not just a classic tray with whitening gel. LED technology plays a key role in treatment effectiveness. The device emits blue light at a specific wavelength, which activates the whitening agents in the gel. This light accelerates the decomposition of stains on the surface of the enamel and optimizes the penetration of the gel, for faster results. Unlike kits without light activation, the LED light boosts the effect of the hydrogen peroxide contained in the gel.

It’s absolutely simple to use and that’s what I immediately liked. Here’s how I did it:
- Brushing your teeth: essential before any session to optimize the effectiveness of the treatment.
- Application of the gel: I simply squeezed a pre-filled pod to distribute the product on the inside of the tray.
- No dosage to guess, everything is already calibrated.
- Placement of the splint: in the mouth, it is super comfortable, not too rigid, and does not bother the jaw at all.
- Activation of the LED light: a simple button to press, and the device turns on for 10 minutes flat.
- Rinsing: once the session is over, a simple rinse with clean water is enough.
And surprise, during the treatment, you can totally do something else. I watched an episode on Netflix without even thinking about it, and the device automatically turned off at the end. No need to watch the time or stand frozen in front of a mirror.
Feelings during and after use
During the first use, no discomfort or irritation. The gutter is flexible, you quickly forget it and the gel does not cause any tingling. Unlike other whitening treatments which sensitize the teeth, here, nothing to report.

It is used as an intensive treatment at the beginning (5 to 10 days in a row) before moving on to lighter maintenance, with 1 to 2 sessions per week.
